Default Short arm or long arm?

I will buy a 4" lift kit in December, and I don't know if it's a good idea to buy the short arm lift kit.

I already know that long arm have more articulation off road, and more flex, and honestly, I don't care.

But I ask you 2 questions:

Is the long arm more solid that the short arm?

Is the 4" long arm lift kit is higher than the 4" short arm lift kit?

unless you are planning to go up to 40" tires, i can assure you that JK short arms are plenty long enough and all that you need for up to 37" tires. a 4" long arm kit will NOT be any taller and it certainly isn't any more solid. trust me on this one

not sure what your asking by more solid?

4" long arm will give you the same lift, they use the same shocks and Coils..

Besides the obvious offroad benefits, but isn't the the long arm kits supposed to give you a better ride on road?

if the JK were a vehicle with shorter arms then yes a LA kit would, but the JK's arms are fairly long as it is. So a LA kit wouldn't benefit as much as in a TJ.

4 door and 2 door will make a difference as well.

How so? The arms are the same length I believe.

exactly - long arms on a short wheel base jeep will improve the ride a ton.
