Should Hypertech offer TPMS Programming?
A simple relocation or skid fixes it anyway.
Hey Darnell, I'm right down the street from you in Cordova if you need a JK to test on. I'd LOVE to see this!
I thought about that, but I was thinking it's already too late for Hypertech if people already bought something else. On second thought, it might have been interesting to see how many bought a competitor's product where the TPMS was the make-or-break deal.
For me the performance boost on premium is worth more than any TPMS mod.
For you guys running 4.88 or 5.13 gears, it might not be as important, but I'm sticking with the 4.10 gears for now and the low end driveability improvement is significant.

We'll see what they do but as I see it they are climbing out of a pretty big hole and seemingly have fell in not a very long time.
Absolutely.
That said, I also see this being less important to Hypertech than adding TPMS due to the numbers....anyone with a 2008 or later would be potentially interested in TPMS features, whereas the ability to use lockers would be limited to Rubicons only (correct me if this is wrong)...granted it would be 2007 up, but a potentially smaller market.
But it is the one feature that has me looking at the SuperChips hard....with a 2007, I don't need the TPMS, but having a Rubicon, the ability to use lockers in 4Hi has merit....can't say that I forsee using this feature a lot...but....
The programming speed is also a major bummer on the Hypertech, but I can live with that, as I do not plan to keep re-programming....at this point I will have one more re-program to endure with moving to 5.13 gears, but beyond that...hopefully will not have many trips to the Jeep dealer that would require taking it back to stock.

I would have bought the other programmer if I knew that it stopped the TPMS but Hypertech was endorsed by the shop where I have the work done that I cannot do. I am very happy with what it did / does but would also like add features.
My advise to Hypertech is that they cannot just play catchup. They need to play leader. In order for them to lead they need to do what the others can do and more. Plus they should offer program updates (via USB from the PC) that add features such as TPMS, lockers in 4 hi to current Hypertech owners for a small upgrade fee. Then they can continue to add other non saftey mods every so often but before the other do to continue to be leaders and all it will take is an update for current owners and they continued customers and a continual revenue source.
