First, welcome to the forum. Second, you may want to do a search and review past discussions. This subject has been discussed quite a bit.

In general, customers seem to report that it takes an unbearable amount of time to receive their bumpers but the quality and craftsmanship are superior to mass produced units by larger companies. Since you're in Houston, you could always pick up the product yourself if it's in stock or once it's been made.

had their sliders and skids when I had my Xterra and their shit is top notch and very high quality. Bad part is the lead time which can be a VERY long ass time. Knew some guys that waited 6 plus months for bumpers to arrive at their door steps. Excellent products though as long as you can bear the wait time.

The powdercoat is THICK and flawless. Welds are very good. Call SLC, they order them and seem to always have one or two in stock.

My midwidth is the best bumper I've owned or seen in person and I've had two ARBs in the past, kenesaw mountain, and a trail ready.

The only real complaint that I've heard of regarding design or quality is that the backup lights in the rear bumper are almost impossible to change without removing the rear bumper (large PITA factor). Based on reports from people that own them, they are a stout product made with good attention to detail.

If you find a retailer that has them on the shelf, great - enjoy! If you order direct from Shrockworks....best of luck to you. You will be required to pay in full, up front. You will be told that your bumper will be ready in six to eight weeks. Then you will be kept in the dark, waiting. Every time you call, you will be fed a line about how it'll be ready soon....and you may get your bumper six months after you pay for it. Or maybe not.
