Default Shrockworks Stubby Bumper

Does anyone stock these? I called Shrockworks and there's a two month delay in getting one and dang if I'm too impatient to wait a couple months :( Anyone?

2 months is just a modest estimate. I've been waiting for over 3 now.

Have you tried Screaming Lizards? They sometimes have Shrockworks stuff in stock.

I love Shrockworks products! And, I would encourage you to check with Screamin' Lizard if you're in any kind of a hurry. The disadvantage with that is you probably won't be able to select some custom options that a direct order with Shrockworks might offer you (such as a grill hoop or the finish color).

Also, I just want to caution everyone that Shrockworks has terrible estimates of their delivery times. There are a bunch of threads here on JK-Forum about this from disgruntled folks who were told X weeks and it's been XXXX weeks and still no delivery! Honest. So please take a two month delivery estimate with a grain of salt.

For the record, I ordered a rear bumper, trail rack and jerry can holders from Jim himself at Easter Jeep Safari, and I'm still waiting on it seven months later. He told me it would be a few weeks. I knew better, so I'm not disgruntled--just patiently waiting. But, my heart skips a beat or two every time I hear the UPS/Fedex trucks driving through my neighborhood. LOL.

Bottom line: Shrockworks is for the patient person who is willing to wait for the best. Jim, himself, told me that and I agree.

I agree schrockworks is good stuff.....but 7 months

In hindsight, is it really "7 months" better than everything else out there?

I find that extremely hard to believe.

That you may, but no one else offers the right combination of features: Must be semi-gloss black finish, must be compatible with stock hitch, must have back-up lights. Believe me, I looked long and hard and it took me six months of waiting on manufacturers to meet my needs before I finally gave up and ordered the Shrockworks rear bumper. Very few companies offer a choice of finishes, and most after-market bumpers have unrated hitches. Both of these were non-starters for me. I would have suffered the back-up lights, if I'd found the other two. So, I wait. And, having waited for the Shrockworks front bumper and rock rails, I know that I will be extremely satisfied once the new gear arrives.

I waited 3 months for my front mid-width and 5½ months for the rear full width with tire carrier. cargo carrier and jerry can holders. They were well worth the wait. Fit and finish is first class and they are tough as nails.

I waited five months for my front stubby to drop ship from Shrockworks (ordered thru Northridge). For the rear with carrier, I have ordered thru Screamin Lizard... 2.5 months ago. I wouldn't mind the wait if I wasn't being given inaccurate information. Shrockworks has given me the "it's being welded" to "its being powdercoated" back to "welding it" back to "powdercoat" to "broken tool" to being "shipped to Screamin" to "sent the wrong one" to now I don't know what is going on. I have no idea when/if I'm getting it.

I have read the handcrafted statements and special fit of carrier to bumper that they want to test it. But then read a mallet will be required to install Would like to see how they test it at the shop when I'll need a mallet to assemble it on my end.

The customer service is pitiful/awful/sucks. And unfortunately, this probably will not improve as they are in demand. Be ready for a wait and don't believe its yours until you have it on your Jeep. When it is on your Jeep, you'll love it.

I have continued waiting as my front stubby is an excellent product, but this time around I am looking for something just as good. And if I find it, I'll get it and forget Shrockworks. The quality is not worth the frustration, but I haven't found an alternative yet.

If Shrockworks was honest with people about wait times, they'd probably have far fewer issues. Being told "2 months" and then waiting for 5...and still not having a bumper that you paid for 5 months ago is a bit much.

Don't rule out finding a fab shop and getting one built to YOUR specs. That worked very well for me, and ended up costing less that a comprable "off the shelf" or "order from this menu" bumper. I got exactly what I wanted, I didn't waste money on powder coating (I wanted it bedlined), I got it two weeks after I ordered it, and it cost me 30% less than a comparable bumper from a big-name manufacturer.

So far I've been wheeling with it for eight months, and it's beyond stout...but that's no surprise to me, as it was built to my specs.
