Default Side Mirrors

Granted I won't pull my doors off till about spring but I was wondering...I noticed on 4wd and Quadratec's websites they have auxiliary mirrors that slide down in the door hinge when you have your doors removed. I think I may get these just for the simplicity of it and I was wondering if anybody knew if these mirrors would fit the JK...surely the door hinge sizes hasn't changed too??

Good post, I was looking at my doors last night (thinking of spring) and realized when you pull the doors off....no mirrors!

Are you street legal with no mirrors?

It depends on the state for legality. Some states require only one rear facing mirror, others require two or three.

on the mopar.com site they have part # 82210557 for 69.00

Drivers side only mirror mount and fold away mirror assembly. Will not interfere with production mirror or off-road lamp mount

Just buy a cheap mirror and bolt it through the hinge hole.

Those are ugly. I still like the idea of the Mopar drivers side relocation bracket - and (someone find me the part# of the European drivers side one.) - which would work on the passenger side here in the US.

I suppose you could do this for looks, but my understanding from another thread on this subject is that the relocation bracket moves the mirror so far forward that the windshield frame blocks all view of the mirror on the passenger side. Just an FYI. I'm sure someone will come along with a better solution.

This is true, it will only work on the drivers side. I have the mopar relocation bracket. Its not really so much a relocation bracket as it is a whole new mirror. I was thinking it would take the old one and "relocate" it but its a whole new mirror that bolts to the windshield frame. It looks very stock and isnt too horrible of a price. If you got the european one thought you wouldnt be able to see it as its moved too far forward and the windshield frame would block it. You cant see the new mirror from the passangers seat at all if that helps. I would take some pics since i have my doors off all the time down here in 85 degree south florida, but my girlfriends cat thought it would take my camera swimming in its water bowl... Wish i could help out more. If ya want any more info from somebody that has the mopar relocation brackets, just let me know.
