Default Side protection?

So maybe not what your thinking, my Jeep needs protection from my wife.

I recently installed some Ace Rock slidders on my brand new JKU. She needed the step part to get in and out a little easier and so did the kids and I wanted a barrier while off road.

So now in a matter of days she's beat the hell out of the side right under the door above the step. She kicks it some how. For the life of me I can't figure out how the step makes it harder but I still love her.

We were looking at the Smitybilt XRC cladding but Idk if that's the level of modification that I want. I like the look but I haven't done that much to it yet so it may look silly and 17 rivets per side...

Is there anything similar on the market that doesn't require that much permanent modification?

Thanks in advance and sorry if this is the wrong sub

I thought about that. I've seen it on some trucks Around here. I figure if I have to I can do that.
It just reminds me of putting plastic on the couch

I have the ACE rails and went with the Rugged Ridge body cladding. Wouldn't offer any additional offroad protection, but would probably serve your purpose. For me, I just wanted a more finished look. It attaches with 3M tape and a few bolts per side. I wish I had a better picture..

Bushwacker TrailArmor Rocker Panels | Jeep Parts and Accessories | Quadratec

I found these.
I already have the Mopar door sills and the cost of these for what they I feel is excessive.
The XRC cladding is way more functional and the same price as this plastic stuff, just wish I knew I'd still like it a few months down the road.
