Default Skid Plate Issues

Quick questions for all with skids. I am buying the Treks Skid Plate system and hae 2 concerns. I have an '08 unlimited X with the 17" wheels.

I am not lifted at all yet, will there be any issues?

I have stock driveshafts and have heard issues of rubbing. I dont know the exact scenarios though. Will there be any issues?

Thanks in advance.

I think the rubbing issue w/ the drive shaft has been resolved. If you search here you'll find two versions of the Treks system, the first and second gens. The second gen which is the one for sale is a little shorter by the drive shaft to compensate for this.

As far as issues, yeah, you got one. You're not lifted. If you read the description of the oil pan skid plate it states:

Fits '07+ Jeep JK Wrangler Rubicon, Sahara, and X-models - 2 dr or 4 dr Unlimited. 2" minimum lift required
So if you buy the whole system (like I plan to) you might not be able to install that front plate right now and have to wait until you lift it.

Cool, thanks. I am buying Hunters system which is a first gen, but he modded it. Oh Well, lift sooner than later. Darn, I am so upset now
