skyjacker 2.5 coil
I have a Unlimited and want a lift but not to much and I have heard that spacers are NOT the way to go for ride comfort. I am new to lifts and saw teraflex for $800ish for a 2.5" yet I saw this skyjacker for about $500.

Anyone running this lift? How do you like it? Will I need to extend anything(brake lines, shifter) or anything else?
Thanks,
Tyler

spacers and shock extensions will give you almost the exact same ride as you have right now. That is because it just moves everything down a couple inches. What size tires are you planning to run? Are you going to run aftermarket bumpers? Winch? The teraflex 2.4" coil lift is great. I think everyone running it loves it. It will level your Jeep out by giving you just over 3" front and 2" rear lift. It rides great like all teraflex stuff and doesn't require driveline modifications.

Teraflex has amazing customer service, and Joe (under the screen name Teraflex) is active on this site and very helpful. You should call him and hear how the Tera kit is different than the others, and all the configurations it comes in. I don't know about the Skyjacker 2.5" kit, but I do know that on the skyjacker 4" kit the rear springs have a spring rate of like 252lb/in. That is way stiffer than stock. The front rate is like 170ish. I called and talked to them about it last month out of curiosity. Good luck.

alright thanks
My budget is around $500. I was at the Jeep dealership today and saw a 2dr rubi and noticed how level it sat, and I measured the space between the tire and fender and compared it with mine. My front sat a little low but the backs were about the same so I am thinking might as well get a lift while I'm at it fixing the leveling problem... Even thought it was a just a rubi it had a nice stance to it(level) unlike mine. I do not know why mine has such a rake.....
Upgrades on my list to get
I want to buy the new mopar offroad bumper with fog lights in the bumper, not sure about a winch since I won't be that heavy into off roading. I have rubi rims and tires on there now and want to move up to some pro comp 8179 17"s and 33x12.5r17s.
I need to get new gears(4.10s) because right now I have 3.23s? for the basic stock X model.

First off, the rubicons have HD springs, I think it may come with the tow package, but don't quote me on that.
You could get away with getting the daystar 1 3/4" front spacers and 3/4" rear spacers for about $100 or less. It gives plenty of room for 33's (hell you can run 33's stock). That's what I'm currently running and I like it (for now).
If you only want to spend $500 on a lift, I'd say go for the 2.5" coil lift w/ shock extenders...IMO
Unless you're set on the mopar bumper, you should check out some other aftermarket bumpers (assuming you haven't of course). You can get some pretty sweet bumpers for the same price as the mopar.
Lastly, if you're only going to 33's...getting new gears would be at the very bottom of my list. IMO again
AND I haven't heard many reputable things about skyjacker. Mostly the opposite actually. Just do the research and make an informed decision! Good luck!

if I was in that budget... the ONLY option I would consider is the 2.5" tera coil kit with shock extenders. It will change your ride very little and give you space to run 35s. You cannot really compare the RC kit to the tera kit. That is apples and oranges.
The teraflex leveling kit is a great way to run 33s if that is all you want to run and have a nice level ride. It only costs $130. Gives you 2" front and 1" rear lift.

My dream bumper is the ARB $1300 one but that is not in my budget.

this ARB is on sale for $799 right now!

that comes with free shipping/no tax and a free arb tire deflator:

The mopar one is nice, but I bet after tax and shipping it will be getting close to the ARB front cost. I think you can get the rugged ridge one from northridge4x4 for close to $500 with the full length end caps and the bull bar piece. The base piece is only $370.
