skyjacker 6" lift
i just bought my jeep jk 4 door about 3 weeks ago and been looking for a lift kit to get for it but from what i have been reading here in the forum it seems that the skyjacker 6" lift is not that great is this true? and does anyone have any other suggestions on a lift kit i also heard that rough country is coming out with a 6" lift too please let me know what you think and any suggestions would be helpfully thanks
Skyjacker uses a lot of the stock parts buy supplying poorly and hastily designed relocation brackets. These brackets put a lot of extra stress on stock brackets and parts. There have been quite a few threads about brackets getting broken clean off and stock parts breaking during mild offroading due to skyjacker lifts.
In my opinion skyjacker lifts are for all show and no go. Thats just my opinion based on other threads and based on the skyjacker lift on my truck. It was a 2.5" kit that was supposed to realign everything on an IFS truck so that you can crank the torsion bars up 2.5" instead of just 1", but all it did was cause everything to wear out prematurly. I dont know who does their engineering, but it doesnt take a genious to figure out that the guy is half retarded.
