Default Skyjacker Budget Boost

Does any one know why the sky jacker budget boost is cheapest? Usually you pay for what you get. Is this an inferior product or a smart purchase?

monos are fine, I've never personally rolled twins. I am very particular on shocks. OME are great but I am partial to bilstein 5100s. I had then in my tundra and just bought some for my JK. My suggestion is by your lift in parts and get th ebest of everything. If you buy a cheap kit you will most likely change it out anyway.

I am shooting for TF coils, TF LCAs UCAs, Bilstein shocks, and JKS tracs.

unfortunately, when it comes to suspension products, you typically get what you pay for. most of the people i know personally that have had this product or ones made by this company have long since replaced it with something else.

I have the skyjacker 2in budget boost kit with the hydro shocks on my 4 door unlimited and im not too impressed with them, if i could do it again i would make a better choice of shock such as Bilstein or OME's, if you are thinking of going with the skyjacker kit you might as well save the money get extenders and keep the stock shocks on. At least do this over the hydro shocks, im not sure how good the nitro ones are. Hope this helps.

I will echo this sentiment ten fold!

Not very happy with my SJ shocks. As soon as I get some $$ together, I'm swapping out my shocks

x2 - I've got the Skyjacker BB see my sig for the details - the Skyjacker BB was the least expensive 'puck' only solution - I did not get a kit w/shocks. 1+ year in I have had no issues - not that much can go wrong with a puck (crack or crush I guess).

Get all the parts you want for your install - not a 'kit'. With each other component I've choosen I'm ready to swap out the 2" pucks for 3 or 4" springs if I want to go higher as all of the other parts are rated for 2 - 4" of lift.

I can't quite decide. I'm down to either the RE with shocks or the teraflex with shocks. Pro's and cons anyone???

the TF kit is a very complete kit and will give you a true 2.5" of lift. i have run this kit in the past and like the fact that it comes with features such as the spring retainer peg on the rear spacers. click on the link below to see my write-up:
