Default Skyjacker Rear Brake Line ext. bracket

Hey all.

Recently received my order from Quadratec for the rear brake line brackets for the 2.5" lift. I have the 2"... but at full flex it seems like my rear lines are pretty tight, and I'd rather be prepared since they were so cheap.

I've seen other manufacturer brackets that are similar (haven’t seen any other skyjacker ones). All I got was two brackets and 4 bolts. I've seen other brackets that include a little "notch" piece to fit in the frame notch where the existing brake line goes from hard to flex lines. Just wondering if I'm missing something or if they just didn’t think things through.

Also.. one bracket has a bend in it.. and one is completely straight. Any insight on this? If its supposed to be this way.. does it matter which side gets the straight bracket and which gets the bent one?

I’m prob. an idiot for asking this... but this forum is all knowing. And I am not.

I got the same brackets. Called Skyjacker and they told me the bent one goes on the passenger side and the straight one on the drivers side. He also told me that most people bend the driverside one in just a little.

just take a piece of flat stock. like 1/2" or 3/4" wide and 3/16" thick. drill 2 holes and tap the one. maybe cost you $10 if you have the tools.

i have the material and will be doing it this weekend, will do a easy right up. i will be doing it front and rear.

Sounds great. Unfortunately.. I do not have the tools to do this (just bought my first house.. and we have to furnish the inside before I get to concentrate on the garage

Anyways... would you be interested in making a second front set for a small price? I havent been able to find any for the front. And it would be nice to have the extra peice of mind... I havent unbolted my front sway bar yet becuase I dont wanna loose my brakes and not sure how much slack they have at full flex with the 2" lift.
