I was looking at the smittybuilt sliders because of the price, but I've heard good things about the shrockworks. the shrockworks look like they give a little less clearance but I'm assuming they are stronger due to being almost twice the price? Does anyone know what would make the shrockworks more expensive?

Also, what is the difference between the SRC and the XRC, they look similar. Does anyone have any close up pics of how they bolt on? Smittybilt and all retailers I've found have very vague pictures.

Craigslist your old ones and get what you want. I bought a pair for my X.

i was also looking at getting the smittybilt ones but never could see any decent pics of them so i ordered the body armor ones that should be in tomorrow. i will try to post some pics when i install them. too bad 4wheelparts doesnt have a show room so you can actually go in the store and look at a part before you order it, hell they never even have anything in stock anyways.

Shrockworks are great because they are custom built. Made in Texas very well. Smittbuilt I think comes from China. The only problem is they take forever to get. Have you looked at EVO's? If I had to do it again that is the way I would go.

If you're interested in Shrockworks, I strongly recommend you contact Sreamin' Lizard and order through them. Shrockworks takes a while to deliver (weeks to months--I've been waiting eight months on a rear bumper), and they charge your credit card when you order. Most of us who own Shrockworks gear put up with that because the quality and construction are second to none.
