Got my eye on the Engo 10k w/ Synthetic.

I plan on use here in FL for almost strictly recovery....not assistance for rocks and hills.

Most winches are water resistant and quite a few have had them submerged on the trail. I run the XRC10 with no issues... And yes, it's been "wet" a few times...

Recon is good. I jus had a bad experience with one. Trucknwinch sent me a defective one. Wireless didnt work. They sent me a new wireless harness. Still didnt work because they said they sent me the wrong wiring diagram. Tore that thibg apart 4 seperate times and now nothing works. So now I have a dead winch with 0 pulls and them asses wont get back to me.
