Default Smittybilt Bumpers

What's up with Smittybilt bumpers? I see that they look pretty good and are now being sold at a darn good price as well. So what are they like....cheaply built, thin steel, lousy paint.....what? If anybody has experience with them I'd like to hear from you.
Thanks.....

I put on a xrc classic and was fairly impressed , good welds (some ground down to deep ) altogether its great for the price...............at least it lines up
I used to work as a welder for a company that did about the same work for way more money
Powder coat could be thicker

I had the SRC Front and Rear bumpers. Had no problem with either. I replaced the rear because I wanted a tire carrier. Replaced the front because I didn't like the way it looked with my Xenon fenders. Overall they weren't bad.

I have the SRC Classic bumper, and it's been great!
Just pick yourself up a can of Duplicolor bedliner in a can at your favorite parts store for any touch-up after the trails.

Get one fast, those prices won't last long!

I bought the SRC front bumper and it has bad powder coat and a weld is separating and its not level.....one side touches my fender and the other side has about an inch gap

I got the XRC about 2 mos ago. It seems to be a quality product, although I haven't had it off road since I got it....but I really like the looks of it.

I had a smittybilt bumper on the front of my TJ, and it was really well made and looked great. I found out later that all of it is made overseas

That said... I am going to buy a XRC10 (or whatever its called) just too good a deal on a winch.

I saw the smitybilt swing away this weekend and it looked really nice.

I've got the XRC rear bumper with tire carrier and hitch. The quality of the construction (thickness of metal, welds, etc) is pretty good but the powdercoating is pretty bad. It scrapes of with the slightest of bumps.
