Default Smittybilt SRC

So, having seen pictures of these from the smittybilt and 4wd.com (note, not a sponsor), I really like this. Since I don't need armor as much as I like the pre-runner look (I don't 4-wheel, I drive offroad to camping/skiing/surfing sites, because I don't like to break stuff), I was wondering if anyone else had some other, closer pictures of this particular bumper. Particularly, does it have holes or not at the bottom?

They've also got a rear in the works, as well as some rocker guards for the matching set.

Yes it dies have the holes at the bottom. They allow access to the winch mount holes.

Hmm, this picture lacks the holes. Maybe they are optional or something.

Either way, freaking hot.
Oh, and if they're a sponsor, www.4wd.com sells the bumper for $419.
JK-ing, how do you like yours?

Default Yeah, but how strong is it?

I REALLY like the look of the Smitybuilt front and rear. My only question is how strong is it, say compared to the AEV or ARB? I think the AEV looks fantastic and I understand it is quite strong.

One of the things I like about the AEV, it seems to sit higher on the Jeep (look at the front turn indicators... it is flush. This seems to translate to the bottom of the bumper too. From what I can tell the AEV seems to have a slightly better approach on the front corners (angles up higher?). The ARB seems close and I can't tell on the Smity.

Cost wise I love the Smitty, perhaps my 2nd or 3rd fav on looks. I wouldn't want a weak POS though if I hit it.

1. How is the approach at the wheels in comparison to AEV? (and AEV to ARB)
2. How strong is the Smity on the cornders?

Those are the three I think I want (like the shrockworks mid too).

It looks to me ,the one w/ holes is more of a stubby type bumper w/ end cap type things and the other is more like a box behind the tube. Look closely at the fist pics and the ones at sema.

The pictures without the holes were the proto type and they added the holes for all production SRC bumpers for the JK.

The bumper itself is very strong. I have used it as a step a couple of times without any worries.

Only complaint is the finish is not as good as I would like, but for the money I can have it Line-X'ed and still be ahead of the others.
