For anyone who has installed the Smittybilt winch plate on the stock bumper, is the only trimming that is necessary just to the plastic, or do you have to cut the inner metal part of the bumper too? I looked at the installation instructions, but it doesn't seem that specific.

 

You will need to notch a small portion of the metal inner bumper.
