Default Smittybilt XRC 10 Pro Comp

Does the fairlead mount the winch? The steel cable winch specifically says the fairlead DOES NOT mount to the winch, but the comp series doesnt say either way. My new bumper is top mount so the fairlead will have to mount on the winch.

I just looked at my instructions again that came with the winch, and I don't see anywhere that a fairlead whether roller or Hawse can mount to the winch. My Hawse fairlead is mounted to the bumper as I have a low mount winch plate on mine. You may have to make a bracket to hold it above the bumper.

You'll have to get a winch plate if your bumper does not have a recessed mount.

The fair lead mounts directly to the bumper.

Decided on the recon 10500 winch. Received my bumper yesterday and it did come with brackets for the fairlead. Going to wait and put thoth on at the same time, but it's killing me!

It's done! Won my auction for the recon 10500, 462.00 to my door. I read nothing but good reviews. 6.5hp motor, wired and wireless remote, waterproof, 3yr warranty and send them pic of it installed they will send you the neoprene cover for free. 6.95 to get the cover shipped. Anxious to get everything installed just in time for winter.
