Part No. S/B76805

B4 it would say,
Qty Processed 0

Anyways, I decided not to cancel and see if it really ships next week. If it doesn't then I'll get another bumper.

I wanted to wait as much as possible since I placed the order when they had 20% off + free shipping.
So did you get your bumper? I had the same run around on a SRC bumper. I was in touch with a guy in Smittybilt R&D and he side that it would be the end of Nov. before they got it to the US. as it was made in China, but when I called to cancel it the guy at 4WP's told me that it was in and getting ready to ship. I just canceled it, I cant see why Smittybilt would not know that there own part was in.

Yes. I got it on Tuesday but I had to treavel outside the US on Thursday, so I´ll install when I get back.

I´m glad I didn´t cancel. I saw one on the show and tell section and really liked it.

Default Ordered mine 12/9 and supposed to be here tomorrow!

Hey guys,
glad I didn't find this thread sooner because I probably wouldn't have ordered the Smittybilt. BUT I got a call today from the freight line saying my front and rear XRC bumpers would be in tomorrow. I'm impatient, I was about to freak out because it had been a week! I'll let you know if it really arrives!

Default XRC bumpers in and installed!

My bumpers did come in (about 6 days or so) from 4wheelparts.com . They are well built (read HEAVY) with nice finish. They are the first step in my Jeep build so the pics aren't too impressive with no tires/rims, winch or any other goodies, but you get the idea.

For a rookie installer like myself you need atleast 2 people (we used 3 at times) to get everything into place. It took 2 of us about 5-6 hours to remove old bumpers and install new ones. We only had limited tools at work so the right size socket extension would have helped immensely, and no jacks or lifts. With the Rubicon model the swaybar disconnect mechanism is all in the way, It would have helped to have my 7 year old's arms and hands to get to all the bolts. The front bumper had about 12 bolts and / or nuts and bolts to install it and you had to drill out a couple of holes to 1/2". The removal of the front bumper without tearing out the foglight wiring took as long as installing the new one.

With the rear bumper it is a tight fit. You have to drill out four holes to 1/2" for the bottom 4 bolts to go through. PUT THESE BOLTS IN FIRST! You have to move the bumper around a bit to get them to go in. For a while we thought the tailgate was going to rub, then it wasn't going to close (rubicon tire slightly larger than stock I'm guessing, and they didn't make the tire cut deep enough). After standing on 1 side of the bumper while tightening down we got the tailgate to clear the bumper. We used some washers on the spare studs to shim the tire out a little and it all ended up working. Also my hitch pin wouldn't fit, but it was just too much powder coating in the holes and after hammering it through a couple of times it works fine. I'm very happy with them but not the 1 hour install I read in other posts (I am mechanically retarted though).

I was thinking of getting this bumper, too, any more pictures? I was hoping to run 33's at some point, it doesn't sound like this bumper will support that idea. I too am not the most mechanically inclined and I don't think my wife would want to help me install. Looks great though.
Anybody try a Hanson bumper, I've searched and haven't seen anything.

I installed these bumpers last week. It was easy. I did need help aligning the bumper but my wife lent me a hand with it.

I did drill out the 4 holes in the middle of the rear frame support. It made it easier to get everything lined up. I think the instructions said drill out ot 1/2" but I went a little larger than that.

My stock rubi tire did rub on the rear bumper but I put a couple of washers on the bottom stud of the spare tire mount and that gave me more than enough clearance. So, yes, 33"s will not be a problem schmugboy.

I hope this helps.
