I'm about to purchase this winch to install on OEM bumpers on my 07 JK X. I was going to purchase the Smittybilt Winch Plate from 4wd as well. However, it only suggests that it's for 1987-2006 Wranglers.

Has anyone used this for the JK and just modified it to work? I would just attach it this way until I bought my LoD bumpers.

Any help would be great

Not sure about the plate but let me know how the winch works, i ordered a XRC is sep and still waiting for it to get here, I have since got my EPI9.0 but the XRC will go on a reciever mount.

 

i use the harbor feight universal winch plate. it worked out pretty well.

 

motorhead, thanks for the pic. you mind posting some side shots; i'd like to see with 3" and 1"tf spacer on front? Also, do you have a write up or can suggest a write up on that winch install? i ordered the smittybilt winch plate and may have to fab 1 or 2 bolts.

sorry i didnt reply back with any pics or info, i just got home from a trip to river rock today. i will try and get you some pics tomm from the side. as for a write up try just doing a search on here for "winch stock bumper" or winch factory bumoer" and you should find what you need.
