Ok so here is my question.......... How do you smoke the lenses of your tail lights and the side marker lights on the front fenders? Is there somewhere that I can get clear side marker lights?

Just incase i have a '09 Rbicon Unlimited if that makes a difference.

Use plasti dip. It blacks then out and you can still see then. They also make a smoke color that is translucent.

 

Both of those "then"'s were suppose to be "them" oops haha

 

Take a look at my gallery and you will see what I did. I purchased tint spray in a can and did thin coats on the lenses until I reached the desired level of darkness. Make sure you check your state aws in regards to tint lenses. You can get the tint spray at Advanced Auto or Autozone.

 

Did you do the rear lights too?

VHT Night Shades is what you want - it's a translucent paint

Works awesome! I'd say about 3-4 light coats does the trick. If you go too dark, just use some acetone to remove it and try again

 

VHT Nightshade sucks too. It's not very glossy. Looks kinda milky. I use DuPont clear with a little black basecoat mixed in. About 10-1 clear/black. Then pass it till it is desired darkness.
