Snake Oil?
I've been busy researching alternative fuels for the past little while and have come across some interesting (read odd) ideas and products.
I know there are guys out there running "Brown Gas" which is just H2O (water) cracked into HHO by electrolysis and then fed into your engine along with gasoline which results in increased mileage.
The other day I ran across another device/product that makes some pretty wild mileage claims but purports some sound scientific bits to back up their claims. The company is UCSA and markets a couple devices such as the PICC (Pre-Ignition Catalytic Converter) and the HAFC (Hydro-Assist Fuel Cell). I believe the HAFC is a Brown Gas Generator but the PICC is a little more interesting.
The name needs work as it conjures up images of the undesirable and destructive detonation, but they intend Pre-Ignition to differentiate their product from a Post-Ignition Catalytic Converter that all of us have on our cars.
Their claims of increasing mileage at least 50% and also of 100MPG or more using a combination of their products is enough to warrant skepticism, but I'm still intrigued.
Here is their website: UCSA
Has anyone heard of these guys or have any experience with their products? Perhaps they'd be willing to donate a system to a willing Jeeper to report back to the community.
