They go up to about the height of the top of your wheel well where it's got a little dinky valve that let's air in and out and keeps splashed water from getting in. Good for onroad. Not so good when you're wheeling and are submerged up to your headlights in water.

These jeeps need a better intake to the airbox. I will be snorkeling it as soon as it is out of the shop. 07 Rubicon, 3" lift, 33" tires, 9500 winch
Wow sorry to hear that. Yes get a snorkel for sure!

AEV doesn't appear to sell the brackets/bezel separately.
There are several vendors on eBay. Be sure to check the picture and descrpition. At very least the brackets need to come with it or you'll have to have someoen fab em for you. The hardware not so much - they're common stuff you can buy at your local hardware store.

When I got mine, all the brackets survived and the snorkel was in great shape but I lost some fasteners in shipment (they don't use the best boxes). Took me one trip and $5 to get replacements and I was back in business.

What's the performance gain with a snorkel. I drive about 25-30 miles one way on the highway to get to work. Looking to see if I can get some mpg gains

I got the Ebay AEV style. Love it. I had all the metal parts powder coated and hit the snorkel with bed liner. So far it's been great. I also use a K&N filter with it and think it gave me some small power gains.

That's what I was looking at getting. Did you have any mpg gains? Have any pictures of the eBay one? I was looking at those just now

My MPG did go up 2-3. I put a steel stubby and and big 12,000 winch and now I'm back to the stock mpg. I take it easy, always under3,500rps and now get 24mpg@65mph and 19 around town. @75mph I drop down to 21mpg.

Do you use a tuner/programmer? Those numbers are crazy good.
