When i installed my AEV snorkel, it came with that exact picture printed on a normal sized 8.5x11" printer paper. So you should be able to just print it as normal to get the right size template.I just cut the template out and taped it to the hood then cut it.

Heres a pic of my hood if that helps at all

What did you use to cut the lines out with?

Thanks Blakspire. Show some pix when you get it done. I'll be interested in doing it also.. Just in case

That sucks, how did they jack it up? One more reason why I like doing my own work. At least if I mess something else, no one else to blame lol.

They put the holes too close to the hood latch first off... They didn't cut the metal on the underside of the hood back so the hood don't shut right cuz it hits the snorkel, and lastly they put the piece of metal stripping on the outside on on a slant! Wtf

I haven't done it yet, I am still deciding how I want to go about it.

I would fight to get a new hood. If they cant get it right, they shouldn't have accepted the job.

Sure, take your time :-)
I am gathering info right now about all the different snorkel systems and came up with the bright idea of building my own. I really don't like any one in particular yet, besides the outrages prices.
I do have a Volant CAI already. Now I am thinking of cutting a hole in the hood (which all kits require anyhoo) right above the top of the air box and run a removable and interchangeable pipe straight up! Short for daily driving, long for water crossings etc.
Well, I also priced a new hood for 400 bucks...just in case I need one LOL
