Default snorkel vs cai

Ive been wanting to put a cia in my truck both for better performance and mpg. my problem is that i also want to put a snorkel. the one i really like is the aev one. but it fits directly into the factory filter box and i dont think it would work with a cia. so my question is does anybody know of any cai's that would work with aev's snorkel?? also.. if im running a snorkel would i need a cai being the snorkel would be pulling cool air from outside the hood, essentially an alternative cia? if i could save 300 bones by leaving the cia out that would make me a happy camper.

the snorkel would get you more cold air then a filter trapped under the hood with all the engine heat and you dont have to worry about hydrolocking, besides most users on here notice little difference with a cai, but thats a huge debate

Get the snorkle and a drop in filter for the stock box. I like the looks of the new AFE drop in filter.

Get a snorkel with ram air and a k&n drop in filter, you may notice more power than a under the hood (water sucking) CAI.
