Default Snorkel and windshield lights

I'm about to pull the trigger on a aev snorkel. I need to know if my lightforce 170's on my windshield with smittybilt brackets will work with this snorkel. I have searched and read both that they will and that they won't. So I'm looking for a more definite answer. If not what brackets can I get to make these lights work?

I had the same question. I had my doubts and got conflicting answers so I decided to try it anyways....answer is no. The snorkel tube sits far back really close to the windshield. From what I can tell most snorkel have the same design.i suggest if you really want the snorkel I would get a light bar for above the windshield

I really don't want lights above the windshield. If it came down to that I would probably lose the snorkel idea :(

Are you saying that you have the same set up I have? If so I would love to see a picture.

Sweet. At least I know the rugged ridge brackets will work. Thanks

It goes up beside the pillar. I can't see how it would interfere with any lights.

I'm not sure . I've never seen this snorkel up close. But that's what I'm trying to make sure of before I spend the money. Can anyone else tell me for sure if my lightforce 170's with smittybilt brackets will work with a aev snorkel?

If it doesn't just make an extension bracket of the existing smittybilt or a whole newbracket to fit your wind shield Mounting point to suit your needs.
I know that's not what you wanted to hear but it may be your best option.
I'd still get a snorkel as they can be real life savers.

Okie, you'll be fine, I've same set-up : AEV snorkel with Lightforce on Mopar brackets (which Smittybilt copied for the down-and-out mounting position).

When bolting the snorkel on, I didn't need to touch the lights. My Lightforce are the 6" size, I forget if 170 or the other number.
