Are there any snorkel systems out there that you don't need to buy the heat reduction hood for it?

None of them "need" a special hood.

The AEV can be used with a stock hood, but you do have to cut it. Volant needs a cut hood too. River Raider, ARB and Rugged Ridge do not need the hood cut. The Rugged Ridge is the only one I can think of that does not require irrevesible cutting.

Unless you go with River Raider Snorkels. That's my plan. You will still have to cut the cowl though. It's set up just like the Mil Spec snorkel for the hummers. Just an option
