Well, actually this past Sunday.... I just recently ran into some heavy rain and wet sticky heavy snow up at Rogers Pass and no issues. I was a little worried about the ram air top plugging up with snow as the snow was caking up on the front of my jeep, windshield and even the snorkel. However, no issues. From what I have read AEV, the snorkel tube should reach some distance within the air ram top (about 3" or so) to allow rain/water to be channeled BETWEEN the air ram's channels & the snorkel tube, then out the slots. Here's a picture to get the idea.

I will keep you posted when I run through some nasty snow blizzards this winter!

I actually am getting better MPG as well with my Snorkel and AFe drop-in filter than my stock box or my AirRaid CAI system. From my last few fill ups I have been avg 10.8L/100km HWY and 12L/100km City. But I am waiting for it to start getting worse with the Winter Blend fuels coming!

I had a FJ Cruiser with a safari snorkle and now a JK with the safari snorkle. There is no problem in winter. You can always turn the top intake piece and face it backward or to the side if you like. Air flow through the snorkle is the same.

Default No Problem

I have run mine through blizzards, rain storms, and snow drifts coming over the hood and have not had one problem. Last winter we had a big storm and I was busting through some drifts. The inlet on the snorkel was covered in snow. When I got home I pulled the filter and it was dry as a bone.
