Default which tire size

I posted a thread on here earlier and the best tire people recommended were the Good Year Duratracs(sp?). I want a good look/stance for the Jeep as well and was wondering how wide I should get the tires so they would stick out a tad past the fender. Before the jk i had a tj with 265 wide tires and they stuck out a little and it looked really good and thats the look I want for the jk just not sure what size tire I should get. I think I will be staying with 33"s since I only have 3.23s but it is a 6speed.

Any ideas on size tires? Not sure if I want to get spacers either. I might want to get some new rims with 4.5in back spacing but I don't know how those compare to the stock rubi rims in regards to backspacing.

I saw some 33x12.5r18 on a wrangler at the dealer ship and it was what i wanted but are there alternatives? Will 285 wide tires on stock rubi/sahara rims stick out at all?

here is a pic of the one i saw at the dealship, I like the tires and not sure about rims.

Are you using the stock rims? duhh i didn't read all of it... I am not a big fan of spacers either... I'm pretty sure the stock rims have around 6 1/4 1/2 BS. Are you lifting it? I think 33x12.5 will rub a bit if not lifted or leveling kit. It also depends on how wide of rim you get... I have 35x12.5 on a 10" rim with 4.5 BS and they stick out about 2" its a bit much but i like it! I'll post a pick...

With spacers the 275/70/18s on a stock rim will stick out a bit, so I'm sure the 285s and 295s will also.

Now with the 10" rim it pushes the tire out about 2" more compared to an 8" rim both with 4.5BS...

maybe mine stick out a little more that 2"...

If I don't want to go wtih spacers what size would stick out with stock rims? How much backspacing do stock rims have compared to aftermarket ones which are normally 4.5in

I'm not sure if your gonna be able to fit anything to stick out with the stock rims without spacers... I know you can cram a 12.5 on there but i think it may still be under the fender... anyone else wanna chime in? There is 6.25" BS on all factory wheels... Look here https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...74&postcount=3
