Default Snow tires

Just looking for everyones opinion. At the moment i have 33" mickey MTZ's. I found out this weekend that i will definitely need to swap tires for the winter. The mtz is horrible in the snow. We get a lot of hard packed snow on the roads, almost like ice. I want to get some tires that will be safe in the winter but i don't want to lose the bigger tire look. Can anyone recommend a good winter weather light truck tire i could get that comes in a 31 or 32" height? my stock tires were good in the snow but they are 29". I hate the thought of putting them back on.

is this true? i hope not. they are the same tires i run and i don't want to have to change them for winter! we get a good amount of snow here too, although maybe not as much hard packed as he encounters.

anyone have any first hand experience with these tires in winter??

From what I recall you can get a "Geolander" tire in sizes from 33-35 in a snow tire.
Looks pretty aggressive too.

Firestone Winterforce and 2 Blizzak's come in a 265/70/17 if you're running a 17" wheel. That's between a 31" and 32" tire.
