Default So, It Begins...

I was rear-ended by a Cadillac sedan a week ago. My trailer hitch was like a steel fist punching right through the bumper of the Caddy. It's front end was pretty trashed, and my rear bumper was smashed up pretty bad. So,...

...I just ordered a new bumper from Expedition One, with the tire carrier, of course.

Now I'm going to need an ARB Bull Bar front bumper to match, some more lights, the RC 2.5" suspension kit, some 33" Firestone Destination MT's, Spydertrax spacers...

...and on and on and on.

I wish someone would smash into either of my bumpers, sparing the rest of the Jeep from damage of course.

Sorry to hear about your Jeep, and your body. Sucks for sure.

Are you lifted? A guy I know that drives a 6" lifted Ford recently was rear ended, and get this... they lady that hit him sued him for excessive damage caused to her car due to his lift, and she WON! Go figure. The legal world out there is plain scary.

Pain and suffering?

That could go a ways towards the lift.

No lift. Actually, almost bone stock.

I'm not getting an attorney and/or sueing her. Why, you ask? I've been through that before, and I don't have the time or patience to deal with all the doctor visits and lawyer visits, etc. I sued the person that hit me head-on and drove over my Jetta with their huge Bronco, and after all was said and done, I ended up with permanent muscle damage in my upper back and neck. A crapload of doctor appointments, x-rays, physical therapy, etc, later, I ended up with damaged credit, and cleared $2,000. Short answer...it's not worth it at all.

I'll be happy when I start feeling better, which should be roght about when my new bumper/tire-carrier comes in.

I do think I'll go ahead and buy the Rough Country 2.5" lift, though.
