So, I could use some advice... Which come first?
Hello,
I've done some digging and have yet to find exactly what I'm looking for around this (and other) forums.
I've got 2 door jk with a 4" lift compromised of various different companies' parts:
4" Synergy springs,
Terraflex monster trackbar
Rancho shocks
Rough Country quick discos
JKS Rear sway bar links
The one thing I do not have is adjustable control arms. They're not stock but they're too short still. I don't know who makes them, they came on the jeep. So I know I need it replace the rear drive shaft, as it's not if, but when it goes. To do this I need CA's in the rear, correct? Footing a $1000 to control arms all at once isn't going to happen right now, but I'm able to afford about a set about every 2 weeks comfortably I think. What order should I do them in and what company would you, personally, suggest? I've read I'll need all 8 with this much lift and don't mind taking the time and money to do it right (maybe $250 per set if possible?)
If anybody could offer an order for, FU,FL,RL,RU and drive shaft and explain WHY I would greatly appreciate it. I don't want to just do it because an infinite source of jeep information said so, I would like to learn why as well.
I've been looking at the RK's, a friend has always had them on his jeeps and loves them. Thanks guys/gals!

RK's are nice but have heard they can bow your rear springs to the point where they can rub on your track bar, you may also want to look at Clayton, JKS and Full Traction, all make good CAs. The upper control arms give you the most adjustment and would allow you to get back to stock angles. Drive shafts. I am running REEL and I like them a lot.
(And what's next for the build?! Are you taking a break to enjoy the progress so far?
Just a suggestion, I would stick to the Synergy or Clayton arms as they use the good O'll Jonny joints that are tried and true. As far as I'm concerned, nothing will beat a JJ. I've had a TJ with RK and my JK also has RK, but they will be swapped for the JJ soon enough as they don't match my second JK.
Not sure what year JK you have, but the front drive shaft should be the first to go on a 2DR 2012+ JK with a lift. The front is also more important to get back to spec for steering purposes. Front Lowers would be enough to push the axle forward to the stock location and correct the caster. Then rear lowers, then Uppers as you see fit.
GL HF!
Please explain how this is possible. CA's control the caster and axle position.

I honestly love synergy products. They were my go-to for this project until my buddy suggest RK. Looks like synergy may be the way to go (Ade, after looking at the prices, it's not your opinion I doubt as much as my paychecks!)
To replace the rear drive shaft, I thought I read the rear should be first or else it may cause DS vibrations. Is this not true?
As far as the bow in the springs sense RK pushes the axle back along with the lift you need to tilt the pinion down quite a bit in order for the springs to be completely straight. BUT doing this will make your driveline angles in a very bad position. The best option is to adjust control arms to where you have the best driveline angles and then get the synergy rear coil spring brackets ( cutting off OEM ) to the correct placement on the axle so you have straight coil springs.

The RK X Factor lifts push the axle back while the track bar bracket ( Pass side ) stays the same which now brings it closer to the springs. The rear lowers on mine are as far in as i can get them so maybe thats why mine have not hit yet. My rear track bar bolt is hitting the edge of my rear bumpstop at full bump ( pass side ). Good thing its plastic and made its own groove for itself.

Sense you are doing it in different segments im not sure which set would be best to go with first to be honest with you man. I dont even want to guess as i dont want to set you up for failure.
I appreciate the honesty. By chance, can you (or anyone) explain what the function of the control arms is? besides correcting caster.
It will give you the ability to adjust your pinion angles, position of the axle, and adjust caster. Jeeps 2.5 inches of lift plus should start looking into adjustable control arms imo.
