Default Soft 8's or...?

Hey all,
Just ordered my tires yesterday and i'm still deciding what to get for wheels. I ordered 285/74r16 discoverer stt's and i'm currently looking for a wheel to give it as wide stance. I've been looking at the cragar soft 8s (16x8) w/ 5" backspacing and +13 offset. I understand that would most likely push my tire about 1/2" to an 1" beyond my fenders. I was wondering what other people have found as far as steel 16x8's with less backspacing in order to give my jk a more aggressive stance. Any input would be appreciated.

I had some Crager Streetlocks (16x8 with 5.25" backspace, I think) with metric 33s (285/70R16) and they stuck out less than half an inch, as I recall. I decided I wanted together a wider stance, bigger tires, and ultimately a good lift (requiring minimum 4.5" backspace), so I splurged and got some 17X9" Spyderlocks with some used 35x12.50 Nitto Mud Grapplers (loud as crap, by the way) and KLOVE the look. They have a 3.5" backspace on them, which I think would work out to a 4.0" backspace on an 8" width wheel (if I did that right in my head). I think I have a cell phone pic of the wheel/tire showing how much they stick out.

Yep, here you go:

ahh thats what i was looking for, awesome. So if i had cragars w/ 5" backspacing they'd stick out about 1/2-1" and if i found some with 4" BS they'd stick out further like your picture? Problem im running into is finding a steel 16x8 w/ less than 5" of BS.
