Default soft doors and hardtop ideas?

I have a 08 jk and during the summer i like to run with the doors off and the hardtop on. In the south we get these little pop up showers so i was wondering if anyone has made some type of temp door just to throw on during the rain. The rest of the time in the back under or behind the seat. The soft doors that i found people say they suck and the will not fit with the hard top. Thanks for any ideas or help.

I have read that oem halfs/soft uppers work with the hardtop...so im sure any others would work decently well just to keep the rain out

I to live in the south and wish could keep the top and doors off like out west. I, at one time was thinking of trying to make the old CJ style, out of say 1/4" steel round stock, heated, bent to shape the outline of door, weld together with cross support then have an upolstry shop cover. Sound easier to get the half doors but costly.$$$

Soft doors will work with the hard top. It can take a while to get then just right. I'm in SC and share your problem. I picked up a used set for the same reason. They aren't perfect and I certainly wouldn't pay full price.

Btw there is a thread on here where a guy built a set out if plywood. Lol.

I would think you would be better off just getting a soft top you can easily take down and put up. Just

I don't have any use for a soft top. I enjoy the lack of sound i get with a hard top. Plus its easy to poke holes in a soft top.

The top is not really the issue. Whether you go out with the soft or hard top, it is going out without doors and then it rains.

It seems that is the only option unless i fab something up. Yea i can't see paying full price for those doors either . I haven't read many good things about them. They look good though!
