Default Soft ride

I would like to upgrade my shocks o something a little softer I think... I am running stock rubi springs and shocks with a 2.5" spacer and 1.25" body lift, so what can I do to softer the ride a little without spending a fortune

Rancho is an incredible brand, I have the rs9000xl's you would be really surprised in the ride difference.
Skyjacker has a self adjusting shock that's a bit cheaper and I've heard very good things about

The stock shocks are pretty soft, and I would be suprised if any aftermarket shock would be softer. I have Bilsteins and OME on my Jeeps and they are pretty stiff. My kids JK has stock Rubi shocks with a 2.5 lift and rides much better. You have probably already done this, but maybe take a few lbs of air out of your tires...it makes a huge diff.

What affects the ride stiffness the most, springs or shocks? I have the Mopar 2" lift and it really stiffened up the ride, more than I like. I was wondering if replacing the shocks (they have Mopar labels, not sure what they really are) would help? And if so, what type of shock?
