Default Soft top support strap

My soft top support strap linking the middle bar to the rear bar has come loose from the three attached rivets. I have attached pictures of what it's looks like and what it should look like. Has anyone had this problem, fixed it, and what did you do? I know I'm not the first.

Haven't had the problem, but I know where you mean. Curious as to how it pulled out with 3 rivets in it? With the top fabric on, & velcroed around the bows and all, I didn't think those straps had that much tension on it. At any rate, there's a bunch of different size rivets, maybe you could get the next size or two up, and just rivet it back on. Possibly even take some small thin flat washers and place between the rivet head and strap material, just make sure the washer is bent around the tube slightly, so it doesn't rub any material anywhere.

Oh, and I'm sure you know, but just in case, just find a drill bit the size of the center of those rivets, and drill them out, trying not to enlarge the hole in your bow tubing.

Crap, I was hoping no one would say rivet gun. Probably the best way to go. Was wondering if anyone has tried self tapping screws and washer but not sure how well it will hold up over time. My issue is I don't want to purchase a rivet gun. I already have a plastic rivet gun for the factory finders. Guess I'm harbor freight bound.

Mine were popped off when I bought the Jeep. I've had the top down, up, what have you, and haven't had any problems. They kind of just lay back there now, no worse for wear.
