Default Soften up the ride?

I bought a used 4in pro comp lift and believe it came with the ES series shock. I can feel every bump in the road especially with 35 tires. Is there anyway I can soften up the ride? Would changing to a better shock help? If so what are some good recommendations of a softer shock that wouldnt really break the bank. thank you.

Were the shocks used as well? Maybe the shocks are shot, just a suggestion.

The shocks were used. Before we put them in we "tested" them by pushing down on them seemed ok. I dont mind buying a better shock if needed.

you could try, if your tire is running a good contact patch them no, if your shocks are shot it I would think it to be a bouncy ride. is it a hd lift? or for an unlimited and you have a 2dr?

It's hard to tell if the ride being stiffer as normal or not cause sometimes it depends on the lift kit, some lifts ride rough. The one on my K5 blazer is the roughest ride I have ever rode in or drove and had no flex.

yeah its not bouncy its just "rough" my wife complains and she drives the jeep daily. By HD do you mean heavy duty? If so Im not sure. All I installed were taller springs front and rear, shocks, stabilizer end links and rear trackball bracket. Guy I bought from said it was a pro comp lift.

If your shocks were shot, it would be really bouncy and you wouldnt be looking for a softer ride

My ride is rough like hell too, i was thinking about replacing the shocks. Looking for soft ride shocks recommandations too ;

yeah, heavy duty which would have an increased spring rate for heavier bumpers ect. I enjoy the ride out of my rancho rs9000xl and they are adjustable
