Default SOLID D60 Setup

Has anyone installed the Solid D60 front and rear yet. I am about to replace the stock axles with Solid but need your help. Current setup is FT 3" Ultimate

Will the Front & Rear track bars will fit with D60 or do i have to replace it with what?

Will the stock Drag link, Tie Rod, Tie Rod ends will work or do i have to replace it with what?

What gear ratio should I choose with future plan of Hemi 6.1 running 37" Tires

After the install do I have to setup the FT lift again for correct pinion, caster, etc

Any help is much appreciated thanx

No you have to have solid make you a custom steering.

Think about all the added weight here also. If you have the auto I would go 5.13's

Yes and you will need new driveshafts also.

All of a sudden it makes a new front axle look much more expensive.

With the hemi, which tranny would you be running. I would suggest around a 4.56 gear with the 37's. Im running 4.56 in my yj with an amc 360 and 38" boggers. Although, im only running a 3 speed trans.

I know that I spoke with Dave at AEV, and on his JK with the 6.1 and 37" tires he had to go with the 4.88 to get the MDS to work properly.

Just spoke to SOLID and they have advised to change my OEM driveshafts also with heavy duty.

Now can I order the shafts by taking the measurements from existing oem drive shafts or do i have to wait till the 60 goes in.

And why Tom Woods DS are so special are they made of chromo etc ?

You are going to want to wait until you get the axle in before measuring for new driveshafts just to make sure. Tom Woods are known because of his service, and he has found ways to make more clearance for the joint so you can often times get away with just 1 u joint in the shaft on rigs with lots of articulation. I also think he uses a higher quality u-joint or something like that from what I have heard from him and read on his web site.

Getting ready for install next week...

Really need your help here. SOLID will be making the track bar.. Now the best design of the track bar should be around the pumkin or top of the pumpkin as a curve.
Tied Rod is simple we should be able to have the tie rod ends flipped over because of the large king pin knuckes.

after doing some initial check looks like we should be able to reuse the stock drag link and stock pit man arm.

driveshafts are definately needed shorter then stock going with 1310 front and 1350 rear custom.
