I'm going to be buying some black rhino 17 glamis rims to go with some 35x12.5 nitto mud grapplers, and a 3.5 lift…i don't know which of the following numbers/sizes i should have from what I've copied and pasted right here….." 17x9” with offsets ranging from +12mm, 00mm, -12mm. There are a variety of fitments available in 5x127, 5x139.7, 5x150, 6x135, 6x139.7, 8x165, 8x170. "

There is more info in both of the threads stickied to the top of this modified area.
The JK has a 5x5 pattern. (same as 5x127)
Convert offset to backspace, it is easier to understand. Google offset conversion or something similar to find the offset to backspace conversion. (Positive offset moves the rims into the wheel wells, negative offset moves them out. For backspace, stock is around 6.25", as that number goes down, the tires move out accordingly.) If I remember correctly, a 17x9 with +12 offset = 5.50" backspace, and a -12 offset = 4.50" backspace. I think?
A 4.5 backspace is common for a 35x12.50 tire.

nthinuf is correct. -12 offset = 4.53" backspace. +12 offset = 5.47" Backspace. 0 offset = 5" backspace.
Go with -12 and 5x127 if you want the most standard fit.
