Default Source for TIMKEN HA590482 Hub Bearing

Anyone have a good source for TIMKEN HA590482 hub bearings?

Currently, my go-to place, Rock Auto, is out of stock on them. When they have had them, they were around $100 a piece. I've done some Googling, and places are asking upwards of $300 a piece. WTH?

What makes this one so more expensive than HA590242?

No clue, but the 482 is for 2012+ JKs.

So what I find is that they are the same wheel bearing assembly and the only difference is that 482 has a longer ABS wire.

482 crosses to Mopar #52060398AC, 52060398AD... AC (07-16) and AD (11-16)... AD is the longer ABS wire again.

SO... the part number for Timken that I listed will work for you if you don't need the longer ABC wire. Which, if you're lifted, you've likely already pulled the wire from the axle mount and have run it in such a way that the wire length isn't an issue.

This is great information. I need to double check this (no offense) and I will just reuse my existing ABS wire.

I just want a really good hub bearing, and I've heard that Timken is the better choice. Not sure where SKF lands in the mix, although i have seen some tout their quality.

No worries, I would too. I got this second hand from a friend that works at a jeep dealership (I called him after you and I talked about the part number)

Best price I've found is from buyautoparts dot com. I'm going to be replacing mine soon and have searched around for pricing, this is for the HA590242

Someone on another forum was struggling with the same thing in August. This is from his last post:

The Timken Rep contacted me back and told me the same. She said their in the process of adding the longer harness to "Timken Part # HA590242". She also stated that it will be keeping the same part number, so hopefully in a year or so we can expect this to no longer be a issue.
Problem solved.

As a final follow up, I ordered a pair of HA590242 from Rock Auto. $81.79 each, and that's before the 5% discount. $164.11 out the door, including ground shipping.
