Spacer add question
Hi and thanks for the add to the JK club. First question lol. So the JK I bought has a Terraflex 2” lift in it and I want to add spacers to bring it up to 3.5 or 4”. Can I buy any spacer? Or does it have to be a terraflex spacer to match the diameter of their coils? Or are they pretty much all the same diameter? Btw I’ll be adding all adjustable control arms and tracking bars. And maybe a front drive shaft if I really need it.
You can buy any brand spacer. I guess what I might say is that if you are in it so far that you are going to buy new adjustable control arms, track bars, driveshafts, and the whole nine yards, why not just get no springs as well and just do it right? You're kinda falling into building around what you have. Sometimes that is the right path, and sometimes not. What size tires are you running? unless you're running 37s or higher you can likely get by without replacing those rear control arms. You should take a look at the lifts Metalcloak offers and maybe just try to re-sell the TF springs you currently have on there.
**correcting caster is the big thing to address up front. Also, lift to fit the tires you want and not just for looks. There's really no need to go 4".

It has 35” tires on it. And that’s fine with me. I mainly want to level it as the TF kit didn’t do that. I want better than stock control arms so if I’m doing that then I may as well adjustables.
If you're just wanting to level it, you're likely talking a 3/4" or 1" spacer in the front. You might google factory jk height and you'll see a few pictures on where to measure bot in front and rear, and can use those vs. what you currently have to help level it. Honestly, 2-2.5" and 35s is a really nice combination. I'd try to keep it as close to that as possible, though I know folks all have a different opinion on what looks "good" to them.
Depending on how you plan to use it offroad, you might be able to get by with just two adjustable arms up front to correct caster, control arm brackets, or go full boar whole set of arms. There's nothing super sexy about control arms if your use doesn't really justify the use. If you're going to beat them up on rocks then sure, aftermarket is indeed a better idea.
