Default Spacer Lift Question

Sorry, I know this has been abused but for some reason my iPad wont let me search the forum. My question is simple: do I need new shocks with a 1 3/4 front spacer lift or can I get by with OEM? I know new are preferred but was curious if anything else was necessary. Also, do I need anything extra for a 1/2in rear spacer lift?

Thanks

No, you do not need new shocks. I have the Daystar 1.75 inch lift (actually lifted the JKU 2 inches front and rear) with the OEM shocks.

Stock shocks are good for up to 2" of lift.

Not to hijack this thread, but I just ordered a 2" Daystar spacer lift. I was told it would level the Jeep out, is this correct? I was also told I could get 33's under it no problem. Thing is, I don't think the 33's are that much taller than the stock 255/75/17's stock tires. Can I go bigger without rubbing? Sorry for the questions; I'm new to the Jeep world and lifting. We want to do some 'wheeling in Utah, close to home, nothing extreme. Just want it to look good and be capable. If anyone can reply, thanks in advance. 2013 JKU Unlimited Sport.

I'm not sure if that'll level it as the front is lower out of the factory than the rear. That's why I went with a higher front boost. Someone who has that boost can comment better than I though. You also shouldn't have a problem with 33s - stock tires measure 32in but are only about 10.5in wide. You'll be getting some more width with most 33s.

You may want to consider bumpstop extensions so that you don't overcompress your springs. A couple of hockey pucks secured to the lower bumpstop pads are the cheap way to go.

I ran 35s with no lift and only added the bushwacker flares and had zero rub. I mean I rubbed a little if I would attempt to jump my jeep evil kinevl style but never really had an issue. If you do go 35s (totally brainwashing you right now... DO IT) make sure you cut your pinch seams just in case. Im running a 3in lift and i can get a lot of flex on it but if you either chopped your fenders or got some flat fenders i bet you'll be super happy.
