Default Spacer Question..

So I have the daystar 3/4 inch spacers on a stock JK, which I used to level the vehicle after installing a shrockworks mid with front bumper.

I have had a rough ride for a long time and replaced shocks with aftermarket, put in an HD steering setup, switched to springs off a rubicon, ect, to no avail..

So today a guy comes into my shop with a lifted and heavily modded YJ.

He says he is a mechanic and does all his own work to his Jeep.

We start talking and I mention the rough ride to him and somehow I also end up mentioning the 3/4 spacers.

He seems to think the 3/4 spacers could cause the rough ride due to the fact that they limit spring travel, or pre-load the spring (can't remember what he said exactly).

Any truth to this?

I doubt it. The spacer goes between the spring and the spring mount and cannot limit compression or preload the spring.

A spacer is a spacer. No change in ride quality because of it.
