Default Spacers

How hard is to to install spacers I want my wheels at least two at most four inches out to the sides. I just bought a tool set and I'm really looking to work on my jeep on my own.

I would go with Spidertrax wheel spacers around 1.25". I had these on my old TJ and they were solid, as you will find with research. It's all about doing it right...the job itself isnt difficult, just make sure your torque settings are good and recheck after some miles, and always when you rotate.

There are other brands, but im biased when it comes to Spidertrax...served me well, and they are around $99 per axle...so for $200 you will get your look. Just know though that conventional tire changing places will refuse you. Because they believe spacers are unsafe...it's no use arguing with them..it's their policy...but honestly, you should and want to do your own rotations...it's fun!

hope this helps.

Very easy to install. Most important part is to follow the directions. X2 on the Spidertrax

If u are on a budget look at the rough country spacers. There are alot of people that say that rough country is garbage but i have had good luck with the spacers and u cant beat the price $59 a pair. I run 37s and wheel my jeep harder then anyone in my group and no problems at all.

I've got rough country 1.5 inch spacers, no problems at all. I just wish they came with loctite so i didn't have to go buy some. They are hubcentric, which I believe is very important. Spidertrax is also hubcentric.

I too am using RC 1.5 huncentric spacers, can't beat the price. I also added 5mm universal wheel spacers for a little extra wide stance. 3 yrs running on and off road, no problems what so ever

I run the Rough Country 1.5" spacers as well. Have not had problem. Be sure to check torque on nuts holding on spacers at 500 miles. I rotate my tires (all 5) once a month. I deliver mail so I put a ton of miles on in that time (500 miles about 2 weeks for me). Anyway the first time you test torque is crucial. The only time they needed tightened a little more was that first time at 2 weeks. I still check the torque EVERY time I rotate. Whichever you choose Spidertrax or Rough Country I would do this.
