with a TF 2.5 BB will i need spacers if im going to be running a rim with 4.75 backspacing??

The spacers are pretty much to clear wider tires....so, if getting 4.75" BS rims, you already HAVE the equivalent of 1.5" spacers anyway...so, if you get tires with a section width less than say 13" or so....you should not need to further reduce your BS.

No. The spacers are only needed if you are planning to run stock wheels with 6.25" back spacing.
