Default Spacers?!

So looking to do some mods, and wondering about Spacers- Do they change the performance of the jeep or the way it drives? Or will it really only change the stance?

What is the right kind of spacers to get for an '08?

as far as I am aware they will not change the performance but may make it more stable since the stance is wider. There is really no difference in a quality spacer like the spidertrax and a wheel with backspacing making for a wider stance. My suggestion for the right spacers would be the spidertrax because they come highly recommended around here. Matter of fact I am about to purchasing some very soon.

Awesome- thanks dude. Much appreciated. Is there more than one "pattern" or "style" of spacer to keep an eye for? Or will they all work- just based off of how much spacing I want?

You will need a bolt pattern of 5X5. You'll likely want to go with a 1.5" spacer. This will give the jeep a nice stance, bringing the tires out to the edges of the fenders. Also, 1.5" will be enough for you to run a bigger tire in the future.

And I would go with Spidertrax as well.

with spidertrax, they offer the bolt pattern that you have which is 5 on 5 with 1-1/2" spacing. This is what you would want if you are keeping the factory wheels or if desired other wheels with 5 on 5 bolt pattern. They also offer spacers that go from the stock bolt pattern 5 on 5 to others which you would only want if you wanted tj wheels or something with a different backspacing than your own. Hope this answers your question... I have seen other spacers which have 2" of spacing but I feel more confident with spidertrax and stay away from spacers on ebay from what I hear.
