Default spacers?

so i was looking at wheels last night and the moab wheels in quadratec are cheaper than most of the other wheels in there.

my question is this : if i get these, can i run 37s on them with no problems? i am guessing it will require wheel spacers to be able to run these wheels because of the offset. i know people are running spacers, is anyone having any trouble with them on the street? would yall recommend them for a daily driven rig that sees quite a bit of highway driving?

thanks

yeah i am looking at those. i know i can get them wicked cheap on here, i was mainly just wondering if they can handle 37s, (which i am sure the answer is yes) and that spacers are safe to drive on the highway for long stretches at a time.. (it takes me 9 hours to drive to my parents house from alabama to texas.)

thanks

there are numerous threads about spacers, nobody reports any failing on them, I have them and have no issues, I think you'll be OK, also a lot of guys run 37s on the stock wheels.

I think you're referring to backspacing. The backspacing on stock Jeep Moab wheels is 6.25" and you will need at least 4.75" to clear 37s. 1.5" wheel spacers should do the trick. Be sure to get quality wheel spacers from Spidertrax, Terraflex or other reputable brands - not the knock-offs from e-bay. Do a search on the forum - there's tons of threads that discuss spacers. A good set (4) of wheel spacers should set you back about $200. If you're quick enough, you can pick some up in the for sale section for $150 - but you need to be quick - I've seen them sell in less than an hour.

I've been running wheel spacers on my stock 32s for about 8,000 miles and never had any concerns. I rotate every 5,000 or so miles and make sure the lugs are tight each time.

Good luck.

This is making me really wish my damn Spidertrax spacers would get here cause right now im sitting on a newly lifted jeep on 3" of teraflex and stock 31" tires because I still dont have the spacers so i can mount the 35's
