Default Spacers for long drives

I'm headed home this summer, 1900 mile drive + a week or so wheeling New Mexico, Colorado and possibly Moab. Does anyone advise against keeping the wheel spacers on for the entire duration of the trip? Is it a bad idea, i dont want them to fail in the middle of nowhere and leave me stranded. Appreciate any input fellas.

In my '07, I made many long road trips with Spidertrax wheel spacers. If you're concerned then remove the wheels and check the torque.

Yeah i planned to stop every 500 miles on the way there to check the torque, which may be excessive but I just dont want to be bring back a horror story. I've only heard one story of a guy that lost his wheel on the highway but the spacer stayed on, which makes me trust the spacer but i wondered how that wheel loosened up enough to just shit the bed like that.

If your concerned, check the torque before making the trip. I have never had an issue with mine

Good to hear, thanks. How often did you check the torque on them during the trip, if ever?

Hey man. I don't know about you, but I would rather be over cautious on something as serious as that, than not caring at all

On topic though, you will be perfectly fine, but I might check the torque before you leave and after you go wheeling. have a safe trip oh.! And take a lot of pics
