Default Spacing between trans cooler and radiator?

I am mounting a trans cooler in front of my radiator and I was wondering if I should leave a gap or should the trans cooler be touching the radiator?

Mount it close, but not touching.

Cool. Thanks. I would imagine the farther away the less useful the fan would be on it.

Do you think vibration/ chafing might cause leaking eventually, also heat transfer not as good when touching? Heat transfer to air to cool.
