couldn't hurt any more then driving in a circle for the same amount of time. As long as your not locked I don't see any issues.

Considering the amount of donuts used out there for spare tires, I really doubt it would harm the Jeep. Nothing factual about it, just my opinion. I certainly wouldn't keep it on for long though.

good point. most cars don't even come w/a 'full size' spare. just to get u home i guess wouldn't be an issue.

Shouldn't be a problem at all as long as you don't use lockers in high traction situations.

If you have a locker forget about it. other than that I would say it would be fine for up till about 40mph or so before safety came into play.

I do KNOW that if your rig was a full time awd (like my old LR discovery) then you most absolutley cannot run a smaller tire on one wheel. All of the tires would have to be the same size. My friend (also ownes a LR disco) had 32s and put a 31 spare on..... wrecked his rear axle and ended up with about a 2000 repair bill.

just my .01 ... cant afford the extra .01 (need to buy gas!)

It would play havoc with your traction control/ABS...as the smaller tire would be seen as making more revolutions that the other tires, and therefore, to be slipping, causing the system to apply the brake algorithm to control wheel spin/make an emergency stop, etc.

That's why newer models with traction control, etc...COME with full sized spares....same if you have LSD, etc.

Another point to consider if you off road....if that 32 is the stock tire...and you are in terrain that killed your GOOD 33" tire...would your 32" stock tire be good enough to get you back out? (Would the terrain your 33" could not handle be able to be handled by your 32" tire?)

If you off road...at least anywhere that you NEEDED THE MODS YOU GOT TO GET THROUGH....then you need the spare to be able to functionally replace the blown tire...otherwise, you're in deeper doo doo, etc. (If you have your rig built-up to handle rougher terrain than you actually wheel in....so you didn't need the mods you bought, then of course you could limp out of the fire trail/easy terrain as best you could and be ok.

Any tire can get a flat, super swampers, MT/R's, Krawlers, etc....but some are harder to rip up than others...so, if you ARE limited (Budget, etc...) to a crappy spare....be smart, and do not wheel where you can get crippled up in a spot that makes your friends spend hrs dragging your ass back out.

Plan B - Only wheel with people who have a spare of the size you need, so you can borrow it to get back out....and hope they don't need it back before you're out again, etc.

Plan C - Pull all the fuses that control the confused computer functions...and drive out w/o the benefits of the electro-crutches....assuming you didn't NEED those crutches to get IN as far as you did before blowing the 33" tire, etc...assuming you do not have LSD or a locked axle powering that tire.

wheel size doesnt make a difference, a 33" tire has a larger diameter than a 32" tire.

spend the $ and do it right.
