Default spare tire mount snowboard rack

anybody know if there's a product out there that mounts to the spare and holds as many boards as this? fitting buddies and boards in the JK doesn't fly. and i have a 4 door! if i go w/1 buddy, no sweat, but if someone needs to sit in the back, they get a snowboard in their neck. anyone?

Did a little searching and this might get the job done for you. Of course, you could have to add a hitch if you wanted to go this way.

I found lots of spare mount bike racks, but nothing for a spare mount Snowboard rack.

The Thule rack is available in a spare tire mount. It holds 2 snowboards or 4 sets of skiis. It is the spare mount bike rack with the ski/snowboard option. I just added it to my JK. My rear bumper is the Body Armor with spare tire accessory and it holds it easily.

I have the Thule Spare tire rack and the optional Ski/Snowboard rack. I can fit 4 boards or 6 pairs of skis. The nice thing is I can also use the rack on a hitch mount bike rack incase I ever need to. I recommend it highly. I'm going to try to link to a picture but if it doesn't work pm me and I'll send it to you

If you do a search you should come up with some pictures of the Thule Spare me rack. Holds 2 bikes and has the ski, snowboard attachment which can be purchased seperate. Keep in mind that the Thule Spare me rack wont fit on anything larger then stock tires...

That was the way i was going to go but when i found out the the rack wont fit on anything larger then a stock tire I went with the hitch rack. Yakima makes a hitch rack that has a ski/snowboard attachment as well. I think it is called the kingpin 4. You would just need a hitch extension to clear your spare tire.

Would this work with the stock Rubicon tires?
Not sure of the stock X tire size. Thie Rubi has 255/70/17.

Yes it will work. 32" is about the largest you can go with the thule spare me rack without modding it...

i have the thule spare me two rack and ski rack and it works great. I can fit 4 boards on there with no problem. I can fit more if there are skies involved. I highly recomend it, very secure.
